The Prospector is probably the most famous of all canoe designs and has never been bettered for all-round performance. Venture Canoes are proud to have this as the basis for one of their most successful canoes.
Combining this classic shape, performance with their new CoreLite material, the result is a hard wearing craft that is ideal for centres and enthusiasts who have paddling whitewater high on their priority list.

Seat Options:
Wood Webbing
- Many find wood webbing more comfortable and are fitted in their canoes as standard. A comfortable and classic design, the wood web seat is robust an efficient design for all round usage in both, seated or kneeling positions.
Plastic Seat
- Venture Canoes durable and comfortable seat is great for those wanting a hard wearing and low maintenance outfitting.
Kneeling Thwart
- Mounted on the gunwales of the canoe, kneeling thwarts promote an efficient and comfortable paddling style. Made from treated Ash, these are easy to fit and maintain. Great for the entusiast who wants to get out on their own, especially for whitewater.
Construction:
At Venture Canoes, they use their own exclusive polyethylene construction material called 'CoreLite'. All their canoes are roto-moulded out of this triple-layered material and are extremely durable and versatile, require little or no maintenance and offer great value for money.
One downside in the past has been weight, but with the development of Corelite, Venture Canoes now manufacture some of the lightest roto-moulded canoes around!
